Joseph Prather M.S., PLMHC, CCMHC lives and practices in Lee County, Florida and provides behavioral and mental health counseling and consulting. Joseph is currently a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) from the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), which means that he has "voluntarily met high national standards for the practice of clinical mental health counseling. Joseph is a United States Army Veteran and former military police officer. After leaving the military he graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors of Science in Education and later with a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He started his career as a clinician in the state of Vermont where he worked as a crisis/emergency clinician, conducting harm to self and others risk assessments, as well as, an outpatient clinician, providing therapy to individuals aged 5-22 and their families struggling with a broad array of behavioral and mental health concerns.
